Mango Carmelitas

Bob, a family friend and fabulous chef, started something good here. Simply sultry, and sweet, this fruit stands alone as a dessert, or you can partner it as a sweet addition to a recipe. Not only does mango make a sweet treat, it is also a great source of vitamin C, A, and B6 which support your body's immune system.   • 1 mango peeled and sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons grapeseed oil
  • 1 tablespoons maple syrup


  • Preheat the broiler. Place the mango on the broiler rack.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the vinegar, syrup and oil. Drizzle the mixture over mango slices.
  • Broil for about 2 minutes until golden brown.
