My dad’s favorite treat is a Middle Eastern favorite, Halvah, that packs in minerals (thanks sesame) and isn’t meant to be too sweet, so it can be a better breakfast or anytime of day pit stop.   • 1 1/2 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/3 cup organic chickpea flour
  • 1/2 cup raw tahini
  • 1/3 cup raw organic honey
  • 1 tsp dried ginger
  • 1 tsp dried turmeric
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 oz filtered hot water

  • Blend hot water and honey. Add it to the blender first. Place all remaining ingredients – except the 1/4 cup hemp seeds – in blender. Blend. Remove mixture from blender and place in a bowl. On a cutting board or other non-stick surface, speed out 1/4 cup hemp seeds. Make dough into balls (about 2-3 Tbsp batter) and roll them in hemp seeds. Eat or store in the refrigerator in a closed container or freeze in wax paper and freezer safe container.
