Anti-Inflammatory Ginger & Citrus Smoothie

An amazing way to wake up your taste buds and digestive system! Ginger and turmeric are well known for their anti-inflammatory properties, and this smoothie combines them with fresh oranges (full of vitamin C), cashews for a bit of protein, healthy fats, and cayenne to increase absorption of nutrients. Swap this smoothie for your morning glass of orange juice, and your body will thank you. This recipe is a win in many of our programs or when working with a coach to reach your health goals.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mango frozen
  • 1/2 medium orange peel only
  • 1/2 inch knob of fresh ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 cup cashews soaked, rinsed
  • 1/2 cup cauliflower frozen
  • pinch Cayenne pepper
  • 8 oz plain water
  • 1 serving plant protein powder

Instructions
 

  • Peel your orange and set aside the fruit for another recipe. Soak cashews in pinch of sea salt for 2+ hours. Rinse cashews before using
  • Start with adding water to your blender then add all the other ingredients. Puree until desired consistency.
  • Enjoy immediately.
