If I told you there was a better way to enjoy cookie dough would you believe me? Well, this chocolate chip hummus tastes just like the real deal but won’t leave you with a crazy sugar crash or stomach ache. Enjoy this as a fun mid-afternoon snack with veggies or pre-workout boost of energy
½cuporganic canned garbanzo beans make sure to drain and rinse
½cuprolled oats or oat groats
½cupalmond butter
3 Tbsohemp seeds
1Tbspraw organic honey, coconut or allulose syrup
½tspvanilla extract
2Tbspunsweetned almond milkother milk or water
½cupmini dark chocolate chipsor cacao nibs
Instructions
Directions
Place garbanzo beans, hemp seeds and nut butter in a food processor and blend until dough consistency
Add the oats, honey, vanilla and almond milk and blend until smooth. Mixture should be soft and creamy like hummus. If it’s not, add another 1-2 Tbsp milk or water if needed.
Remove to a bowl and stir in chocolate chips.
Serve with sliced non-starchy vegetables, fruit slices, berries, crackers
